Any fan of college football knows who Marcus Mariota is – the Oregon Ducks QB who led his team to the national championship against Ohio State this past January. He’s also the winner of this year’s Heisman Trophy with more than 90 percent of the total possible voting points awarded. Here at Nissan of Athens, many of us have sort of “adopted” Mariota, especially since he signed with the Tennessee Titans and will be playing in the newly named Nissan Stadium in Nashville this year. So you can imagine our excitement at hearing that Marcus Mariota was presented with a new Nissan Armada in a ceremony held at Nissan’s North American headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee.
2016 Nissan Maxima-Next Generation 4-Door Sports Car
Here at Nissan of Athens we’ve been eagerly awaiting the all-new next generation Maxima. In fact, to say that we’ve been eager is an understatement. We’ve been hearing about the improvements and upgrades coming to the new 2016 Nissan Maxima for months now, and just couldn’t wait to get our hands on them. Well, now that it’s here, we think it was definitely worth the wait.
If you’re one of those devoted Apple iPhone users who love using their device in the car, this is going to come as excellent news. Nissan has announced plans to integrate the new Apple CarPlay platform into some Nissan vehicles beginning in the 2016 model year. What does this mean to iPhone users who drive Nissan vehicles? In fact, it means quite a lot.
The new Apple CarPlay system is a way to integrate all of the iPhone’s capabilities into the vehicle, using your Nissan’s own dash-mounted display and controls. That means no more fumbling for the device as it slips between the seats, no more looking down to check your navigation or maps, and fewer distractions overall – without giving up any of its famous functionality.
