Edmunds Awards for Nissan, Athens, GA

Edmunds Awards for Nissan

Well, the awards keep rolling in for 2014 Nissan vehicles, with Edmunds naming a handful of new Nissan vehicles as some of their Most Popular, and having the Best Retained Value. At the 2014 New York Auto Show in April, Nissan executives were presented with trophies by Edmunds.com, one of the top-rated automotive review websites on the Internet. Edmunds praised Nissan vehicles for their popularity and retained value, naming five of them for particular accolades.

Nissan Altima Named “Top Rated Vehicle”

Going up against stiff competition in what is arguably the most competitive segment of the car market, the 2014 Nissan Altima earned an “A” rating and was named a “Top Rated Vehicle” by Edmunds. As the best-selling vehicle in the Nissan lineup, we’re not surprised that the Altima has earned such an honor, but the award itself is quite an accomplishment.

The testing team at Edmunds looks at around 200 vehicles a year, and tests them thoroughly on public roads as well as on a test track. The testers identified Altima’s “outstanding balance of ride comfort and handling,” “excellent acceleration,” “outstanding fuel economy,” “comfortable and solid interior,” and “top crash test scores” as reasons for its selection.

Nissan Pathfinder Named “Most Popular”

As one of the best-built SUVs on the market, it’s no surprise that Edmunds has named the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder among its “Most Popular” in the mid-sized SUV category. After last year’s redesign, the 2014 Pathfinder has been one of the most popular vehicles here at Nissan of Athens. We think it’s the perfect choice for families from here in Athens, GA to Jefferson, Loganville, Winder and all of Northeast Georgia. Edmunds calls out the 2014 Pathfinder’s exceptional versatility, fuel efficiency and full-size comfort as reasons for its selection.

Nissan Frontier Named “Most Popular”

In the mid-size truck segment, the Nissan Frontier is an excellent choice for work or play. Edmunds seems to agree, naming the 2014 Nissan Frontier as a “Most Popular” selection in the category. Citing its premium hardware, extraordinary power and exceptional on-road and off-road performance, the 2014 Frontier is among the top choices for a medium sized truck. The Frontier comes in both a Crew Cab and a King Cab style, and is great for our North Georgia way of life.

Nissan Altima Named “Most Popular”

In addition to being named one of Edmunds Top Rated Vehicles, the Altima has also been awarded the “Most Popular” status. The Altima was shown to be one of the three vehicles with the highest shopper consideration among all mid-sized cars. It also was singled-out as having one of the highest fuel economy ratings of all mid-sized sedans, while still maintaining superior performance – an important consideration for Georgia drivers.

Nissan GT-R Named “Most Popular”

Among performance sports cars, there are few if any real competitors to the amazing 2014 Nissan GT-R. The GT-R is already legendary for its performance and for being one of the only sports “supercars” to be accessible by the general public. Now Edmunds has identified the GT-R’s extraordinary performance and power, as well as its recent record-setting performance at Nurbergring in Germany as reasons for its being named “Most Popular” in the sports car category. A true race car that can be driven on a daily basis is rare enough, but the 2014 GT-R is really a modern legend.

Nissan NV Commercial Van named “Most Popular”

Since being introduced a couple of years ago for the American market, the Nissan NV commercial van has become an excellent choice for a full-sized commercial business vehicle. Now Edmunds agrees with the thousands of businesses that have chosen the Nissan NV, naming it a “Most Popular” selection in the commercial van category. With its body-on-frame construction, high roof, and powerful but efficient engine choices, we couldn’t agree more.

Here at Nissan of Athens, we’ve got all of these “Most Popular” vehicles available for you to choose from. We also have plenty of the “Top Rated” Nissan Altima sedans to select as well. Come in to see why so many of the newest Nissan vehicles keep racking up awards of all kinds. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
